The Wonders of Astaxanthin

Astaxanthin, a natural microalgae, is what gives salmon its bright red color as well as the energy, stamina, and muscle to be able to swim up raging rivers to spawn, which in many cases can be as long as seven days.

Recent research has concluded that Astaxanthin can protect the skin from UV radiation by increasing the amount of exposure time before the skin burns, and in two separate studies from Japan and Canada, 4mg of Astaxanthin per day provided measurable differences in skin quality, which began to appear within two weeks.

By the fourth week, participants in these studies had significant improvements in skin hydration, elasticity, skin appearance, tonicity, reduction of fine lines and sallowness, and reduced swelling under the eyes. None of this happened in the placebo groups in either study.

Science has also shown that Astaxanthin is the best choice we can make when selecting an antioxidant supplement as it has proven to be the most potent and effective, which is in part due to its dual antioxidant power, enabling it to quench two notorious oxidizing agents: the well known free radical and a highly reactive form of oxygen called singlet oxygen.

Newport Beach, CA, August 24, 2011 – Skin Nutrition has just signed a distribution agreement with a well known, specialist skin care/pharmaceutical distributor, based in Moscow, Russia. The agreement gives the Moscow based company exclusive distribution rights for all Skin Nutrition products, for all of Russia. The company plans to distribute Skin Nutrition products to perfumeries, department stores, spas, salons, medi-clinics, and doctor’s offices, throughout Russia.

Skin Nutrition’s Indonesian Launch a Success

Skin Nutrition officially launched in Jakarta, Indonesia last week. The launch event was attended by the country’s top anti-aging doctors, dermatologists, and key press members, who all welcomed the brand’s innovative technologies and products. Skin Nutrition CEO, Richard Purvis, said “this was an exciting launch for us as the guests were very attentive and asked me great questions. We also did demos with guests after my lecture and they were ‘blown away’ with our unique treatments and results.”
